Walk & Canal Tour: Copenhagen Highlights + Change of Guards Finale
See Copenhagen’s top sights in 3 hours with a guided walk and a scenic canal ferry ride. Visit iconic landmarks, hear local stories, and experience the city from two unique perspectives.
Please arrive 10 minutes early.
We meet inside Copenhagen Central Station, in the very middle of the main hall directly under the big clock, between 7-Eleven and the red ticket machines.
Experience the best of the city with a local host on this tour, with 5 to 7 km of walking and a 25 minute ride on the public commuter ferry* that the locals use (not a tourist boat ride).
DISCLAIMER: Boarding the public ferry is not guaranteed as seats cannot be reserved and on rare peak season weekend and afternoons, it can be full. *If the ferry is full or out of service, we follow the scenic canal route on foot instead, covering the full itinerary with 2 extra km of walking.
Discover top sights, hidden gems, and witness the Changing of the Guards at the royal palace, Amalienborg.
We begin with a 1-hour walk before boarding the public electric harbor ferry, (if it´s not full). Your host shares stories, and tips as we glide through the city’s waterways.
After the ferry, we continue on foot for 1 hour to other sights, and take a short break at a café for a boost of energy before ending the tour at Amalienborg Palace.
Note: This walking tour from Go Like a Local requires a steady pace and is not suitable for those with walking difficulties.
